Gandhinagar: Banaskantha and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat found mention in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat radio address this morning.
The Prime Minister while speaking about Banaskantha, said he had made appeal for sweet revolution in Banakantha in one function in year 2016, in response to which the district has today emerged as a leading centre for honey production, resulting into additional income for local farmers.
The Prime Minister also mentioned Zinzuwada village of Surendranagar district while speaking about light house there. The PM said this unique light house at Zinzuwada is special because it is located at a place which is over 100 km away from sea coast. He said this village has also presence of stones that indicate that there was a busy port there once upon a time, which means the coastline was upto Zinzuwada in the past. The PM said rise and growth, departure and even further departure is nature of sea.
