Crime Branch nabs three for alleged black marketing of Remdsivir injections

Ahmedabad: City crime branch has nabbed three accused for alleged black marketing of Remdesivir injections. Among the accused, Akshar Vinod Vaza works as brother in Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run SVP hospital and lives at Gomtipur. The other accused is his sister Vidhi. The third accused Hariom Luhar was working with SVP hospital in the past.

In a trap arranged by Crime Branch, Akshar Vaza offered one injection of Remdesivir for Rs. 12,000 and 9 injections for Rs. 1,08,000 to a bogus customer sent by police.

Vaza took ‘customer’ to Shri Ramji street in Gomtipur area after which his sister brought nine Remdesivir injections in a plastic bag and handed over to bogus ‘customer’. Both brother-sister were nabbed by police.

When questioned by police, Vinod Vaza said that one Hariom Lohar was working with him in SVP hospital in the past. The injections were brought by him and handed over to Vidhi Vaza.

The accused arrested are Akshar Vaza(39), Akshar’s sister Vidhi Vaza(39) and Hariom Lohar(27). DeshGujarat
