Those returning from Kumbh to be isolated, tested for Covid through RTPCR: Rupani

Jamnagar: Those returning to Gujarat from Kumbh Mela will be isolated and tested for covid infection through RTPCR test, Chief Minister Rupani said today.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while interacting with media persons in Jamnagar today said, “instruction has been given across Gujarat to all district collectors that those returning from Kumbh mela will be isolated and tested through RTPCR test and if someone is found infected, he/she will be isolated immediately. No one returning from Kumbh will be allowed to enter directly. Required nakabandi instruction has been given to collectors. This is because a large number of people had gathered in kumbh.”
Rupani said, “we have created 25,000 to 30,000 beds in last one month. There are total 75,000 beds created. We are adding 8,000 to 10,000 beds in next 15 days.”
Rupani said the Government will start distributing ‘ukala’ to boost immunity across the State.
He also announced additional beds, ventilators and RTPCR laboratory for Jamnagar and Devbhumi Dwarka districts.
