Gandhinagar: Vaccination for those above 18-year age will start from the foundation day of Gujarat, 1st of May, 2021, starting with 10 districts, said Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today. 3 lakh vaccine doses are to arrive in Gujarat by air today evening. The company that makes vaccine has given assurance that 11 lakh vaccines will be availed to Gujarat in the month of May. The State government has given order of 2.5 crore vaccine doses. From tomorrow onward, 10 districts where active covid cases are more and infection spread is higher, covid19 vaccination for 18 plus group. These ten districts are – Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Kutch, Mahesana, Gandhinagar and Bharuch. Those who have taken online appointment and among them those who get SMS invitation will only get get vaccine. Those who have yet not registered, should do registration fast. None who has not got SMS would visit the vaccine centres. No one who will go directly to vaccine centre without getting SMS. Such people will not be vaccinated. None should be hurry for vaccination.
