Ahmedabad: Prakash Shah who served Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) in various positions, has snow become a Jain Monk after Diksha ritual of renunciation along with his wife Naina Shah on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti last week.

Shah is Chemical Engineer and post-graduated from IIT Bombay. He retired last year as a vice president ( Petro Chemical Division) of RIL after playing important role in Reliamce Jamnagar’s petcoke gasification project. His wife Naina is a graduate in commerce.

Prakashbhai wanted to leave worldly life to become monk soon after retirement but due to Covid19 pandemic, he could take dikha only now. One of Prakashbhai’s two sons who was IIT Bombay graduate also took diksha seven years ago. DeshGujarat
