Gujarat govt to buy 5,000 amphotericin B 50 MG injections to fight Mucormycosis

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has decided to start separate wards to treat mucormycosis patients in civil hospitals of Ahmedabad, Vadoara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar. The Government has also decided to order 5,000 amphotericin B 50 MG injections worth Rs. 3.12 crore for treatment of mucormycosis. The decisions were taken in a Core group meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today evening in capital Gandhinagar. According to State government note, there have been 100 such cases across the State.
