Rupani indicates, opening of phase-3 vaccination in more districts in June

Gandhinagar: In reply to a question asked by media persons, Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani today said the State will get 11 lakh doses of Covid19 vaccines by 15 May which shall be moved to ten districts that have been opened up for phase-3 vaccination.
He said, ‘I believe, more districts will be added in the month of June.’
It’s worth noting that the State government has opened up phase-3 vaccination for 18-44 age group across 10 districts of the State that have higher number of covid19 cases.
Rupani said, ‘the Govt has ordered doses from two companies so far, but more companies including a Russian company may start supplying vaccines eventually.’
The State has completed first dose vaccination of 1.2 crore persons, while the second dose has been administered on 29.89 lakh persons.
