Swami Adhyatmananda of Sivanand Ashram passes away

Ahmedabad: Shivanand Ashram Ahmedabad’s Swami Adhyatmanand ji passed away today morning after battling against Covid19 infection and related issues at SGVP hospital of city since April 23. He was 76. Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj of the Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad, was a disciple of H.H Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. He was a Yoga Acharya who had convened hundreds of Yoga shibirs. He had set up Lakshmi temple in the campus of Shivanand Ashram. A fine orator, Adhyatmananda’s public lecture series on management and spirituality would draw huge audience in auditoriums of Ahmedabad in late 1990s. Adhyatmanandji had taken diksha in 1972. He could speak as many as 14 languages. As per covid guideline, Adhyatmanandji has not been given Samadhi and he is going to be cremated according to Trustee of Ashram Shri Arun Oza who also added that perhaps his asthi (bones) would be given Samadhi.
