Shops, offices of those neither vaccinated, nor having covid negative report shut by SMC

Surat: Teams of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) today forced closure of shops operated by those who had not undergone Covid19 test or not vaccinated. According to SMC, its teams checked 3,946 shops/offices where 1,635 persons had taken vaccines while 2,409 persons had tested for covid19. 457 shops and offices of those who had neither taken vaccine nor undergone test were shut by SMC teams. Similarly, 3,273 hawkers/carts were checked where 1,033 operators were found vaccinated while 2,044 had tested for Covid19. 312 carts/hawkers of those who had not taken vaccine and also not tested for covid19 were shut. SMC teams also conducted on-the-spot tests of 1101 persons, out of which 1 person was detected covid19 positive. DeshGujarat
