Gujarat CM launches Rs. 585 crore development works/projects of AMC

Sabarmati: Chief Minister Rupani today performed virtually performed ground breaking and inauguration for Rs. 585 crore development works of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), said the State government.

As per the Government, Rs. 338 crore works that have been kicked off for various projects include phase-2 development of Sabarmati Riverfront on Dafnala – Sadar bazar stretch, 2+2 lane split flyover, Vastral sports complex and revamping of Saraspur-Rakhial ward based Vyayam Shala.

Rs. 248 crore projects that are dedicated today include 50 new electric buses for Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) routes, Viratnagar junction and Rajendrapark junction split flyover bridges, water distribution stations at Sardarnagar, Sardar Patel Stadium and Naranpura wards and overhead tanks at Maninagar and Baherampura, four gardens at Thaltej, Chandlodiya, Nikol and Odhav, a lake garden in Odhav and an oxygen park in Thaltej, an urban health centre at Thakkarbapanagar, a sub zonal office at Ranip and two anganwadi schools in Chandlodiya, the Government said.

The Chief Minister conveyed thanks to Indian Army for allocating land for development of Sabarmati Riverfront phase-2. He admired AMC for services delivered during Covid19 pandemic. In this context, he especially admired services offered by AMC run SVP hospital and doorstep healthcare delivery vans. DeshGujarat
