Kutch Maharao Pragmalji III passes away

Bhuj: Maharao Pragmalji third, the head of the Royal family of former native state Kutch passed away today due to Covid19 infection and related complications. He was 85. He was also suffering from prostate cancer. However a recent covid-19 infection had further complicated his health. He was under treatment for last few days. His funeral procession will be held as per the Covid19 pandemic related guideline. His mortal remains were kept at Ranjit Vilas palace for darshan. His last rites took place at Chhatardi in Bhuj. Pragmalji had appointed Nailya’s kunvar Indrajitsinh Jadeja, Devpar’s Thakor Krutarthsinh Jadeja and Tera’s Thakor Mayurdhwajsinh as his successors as Pragmalji had no son or daughter. Pragmalji owns huge properties in Mumbai and across Kutch such as Ranjitvilas palace, Pragmahal, Aayna mahel, Sharadbagu palace, Vijay Vilas palace, Chadva Rakhal etc. Pragmalji was in favor of separate State of Kutch and he had led a movement for same. He had become Maharao of Kutch in 1991 succeeding Madansinhji who passed away on 17 October that year. DeshGujarat
