Gujarat Govt to pay daily Rs. 25 per cattle for June, July to registered Gaushalas-Panjarapols

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today decided that the state government will pay daily assistance of Rs. 25 for each animal kept with the registered Gaushalas and Panjarapoles in Gujarat. The amount would be paid for feeding fodder and animal-feed to the animals.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani, and attended by Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel, Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Energy Minister Saurabhbhai Patel and other senior secretaries.
As per the decision, Gujarat Government will pay daily Rs. 25 per day for each animal for the months of June and July for year 2021 for the 4.50 lakh animals that are staying in the registered Gaushalas and Panjarapoles of the state. The decision will burden the state government for approximately for Rs. 70 crore.
It is necessary to mention here that during the first wave of the Corona pandemic, the Chief Minister had announced daily assistance of Rs. 25 per animal for the registered Gaushalas and Panjarapoles for Months of April and May in year 2020. The amount was disbursed to the Gaushalas and Panjarapoles through the district administration. – Information
