Gujarat govt to pay Rs. 5 to VCE operators for every registration of 18-44 youth in Covin portal

Gandhinagar: Vaccination for 18-44 age group has started across all districts of Gujarat from June 4 morning. The State had opened vaccination for 18-44 group on the 1st of May, however till June 3 it was limited to only 10 districts where Covid cases were too many in numbers. The Chief Minister had announced government’s decision to expand it to entire state last evening.
Today over 1.89 lakh youths in 18-44 age group were vaccinated across the State as per the government data. In all over 2.75 lakh persons were vaccinated today. Till now over 1.79 crore covid19 vaccine doses are administered in Gujarat across all age groups.
Meanwhile the State government has taken a decision to rope in VCE-computer operators of Gram Panchayats for registration of 18-44 age group persons for vaccination slot in Covin portal, for which the State government will pay Rs. 5 per registration to VCE-computer operator. DeshGujarat
