Gandhinagar: The Government and private offices across Gujarat have started functioning today in full staff strength.

On April 12, a decision allowing offices to function in only half of total staff capacity was announced by the State government. A related announcement was then made by Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on April 15.

Several office premises were raided for violation of rule permitting them to function only in half of full staff capacity.

On 6 April this year, the State government had announced its decision to shut all government offices on Saturdays and Sundays. However as per a fresh decision announced last week, the government offices have started working again on Saturdays. DeshGujarat
