ACB Gujarat nabs Govt servant in Rs. 50,000 bribe case in Kheda

Mahesana: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed Habib Malek, an Additional Deputy Mamlatdar (class-3 employee) in Rs. 50,000 bribe case at Kathlal in district Kheda. According to the details shared by ACB, a complainant was in process to sell his 5.5 bigha land at Lasundra village of Kathlal taluka in Kheda district and the documents procedure for the same was done at sub-registrar office in Kathlal. While primary entry was done in e-Dhara system, the accused demanded Rs. 90,000 bribe to make final entries (total six entries, bribe demanded was Rs. 15,000 per entry). After bargaining, final amount of bribe was fixed at Rs. 50,000. As complainant didn’t want to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and accused was held while receiving bribe. DeshGujarat
