ACB Gujarat nabs two Income Tax office staffers in Rs. 400 bribe case

Mahesana: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed two staffers of the Income Tax department in Rs. 400 bribe case.
Accused Harshad Nayi is tax assistant of IT department in Mahesana while another accused Alpesh Shrimali is peon working with IT department in Mahesana on contract basis.
A complainant had lost his PAN card for which he had contacted IT office in Mahesana. Accused had demanded Rs. 500 bribe to search out complainant’s PAN number. As complainant contacted ACB, a trap was arranged during which accused Alpesh Shrimali received Rs. 400 bribe on instruction of Nayi in his presence.
