June 10, 2021
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister in reply to a question by media persons today said that decision on Jagannath Mandir Rath Yatra this year will be taken as per the situation prevailing at that time. Rath Yatra is scheduled to take place on July 21 this year. Last year Rath Yatra procession in Ahmedabad couldn’t take place due to Covid-19 pandemic situation and related order by the Gujarat High Court.
The Chief Minister today while speaking to media persons said that the second wave has been controlled, but that doesn’t meant hat Covid-19 pandemic has departed. It is very much there. He said the relaxations the government has announced yesterday are in the spirit of ‘Jan bhi Jahan bhi’ approach. Rupani asked the people not to misuse the relaxations and continue to be alert and follow all advisories and rules. Rupani said the government will not rethink for even a minute if need arises to impose the pandemic related restrictions once again. DeshGujarat
