Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today announced that the Chief Minister has given his approval to Kisan Sahay Yojana 2021 covering over 53 lakh farmers.

The Government said, per hectare Rs. 20,000 assistance will be given in the limit of 4 hectares land in cases of 33 to 60 per cent damage to Kharif crops.

In case of over 60 per cent damage to crops, per hectare Rs. 25,000 assistance will be given in 4 hectares limit.

The farmers will get benefit of this Yojana without paying any premium. Van bandhu farmers who possess sanad under the Forest Rights Act will also be covered under this scheme.

A dedicated portal will be launched to receive applications that can be also filed through e-gram centres. The government will borne expenses of data entry.

After primary survey, calculation of benefit and approval from taluka level, the payment will be made to beneficiaries directly to bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A toll free number will also be there to guide the farmers regarding this scheme.

The benefit under this scheme will be in addition to SDRF provisions. DeshGujarat
