Gandhinagar: State GST department of Gujarat held search recently at city’s The Metropol Hotel that apart from other services also offers liquor to permit holders. Liquor attract 65 per cent VAT. During the search it was found that Rs. 78.31 lakh worth of liquor selling was absent in VAT returns. In addition to this, unaccounted selling and wrongfully gained benefits over capital goods were also traced. State GST department has recovered Rs. 64.21 lakh under GST law. DeshGujarat
