Valsad: District Police has arrested four more accused including the mastermind Gafar Satar Shaikh (Age: 46 years) of the cow slaughtering racket in Valsad. Police have nabbed a total 14 accused involved in the Cow-slaughtering gang till now from Bhivandi, Pune, Ahmednagar, Dhuliya, Atul, Barsol, Wankal, Kanjanhari etc places.

Valsad LCB PI J.N. Goswami and his team captured the mastermind of this racket Gafar Shaikh from Kuran village of Sangamner in Ahmednagar district. Other three accused including Muneer Ameer Shaikh (Age 41 years), Rajendra alias Raju Bachu Ahir (Age 21 years) and Akbar Kabir Khan (Age 35 years) were also nabbed by the district police. Other five to six accused are yet to be captured by the police.

Hardik Jayeshbhai Kansara (Age 29), an anti-cow slaughter/trafficking volunteer and nephew of Valsad District BJP President Hemant Kansara was mowed down under a tempo containing 11 cows being trafficked for slaughter on the night of 17th June 2021 on Dungri highway near Valsad. He was crushed under the tempo after which two including the driver of tempo had jumped out of the running tempo. Later, a dead body of the tempo driver Haji Akram Yusuf Mulla was found from Bamkhadi on Sunday. CCTV footage made it clear that driver Haji Akram had jumped from the bridge in creek.

In a crack down after this horrific incident, total 10 accused have been jailed within 24 hours.

The one, who was nabbed first was Dharmesh alias Fata Samak Ahir of Dharampur. He was nabbed after  the district police headed by SP Dr Rajdeepsinh Zala made a plan to trace out the root of cow-slaughtering racket.

Cows would be purchased from cows and kept at various places. Ansar Gulam and Zakir Allarakhkhu from Atul an Dumaya would search for customers mainly from Bhiwandi and Ahmednagar. After deal is done, cows would be taken from various places to Dharmesh Ahir’s place at Barsol. A tempo then would come to Barsol. Tempo drivers were asked not to stop the vehicle in any case on way to Bhivandi. Ali Murad of Wankal, Dharmesh, Ansar Gulam (main accused), Kamlesh, Jahesh from Barsol and Hassan Kadri from Wankal.
