Kevadia: The Rope-way project of the State Government at Statue of Unity, Kevadia connecting Vindhyachal and Satpura mountain ranges will be ready within a span of two years.
This 1.25 kilometres long rope-way will connect the Statue of Unity with Cactus Garden. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 62 crores. The tourism site aims to attract more than 50 lakhs tourists each year. The rope-way will be built using the mono-cable detachable gondola system and its line-speed will be 6 minutes per second. Total 5 towers of 8.35 meters height and two stations will be installed for this project.
Tourists will be able to view Narmada dam, Statue of Unity, Narmada river, Safari Park, Cactus Garden, Flower of Valley and Green Valley from the rope-way. Statue of Unity and Cactus Garden are on different sides of the banks of the river. The tourists have to cross a distance of 13.8 kilometers to visit the Cactus Garden which takes around 40 minutes. Through the rope-way, they will be able to cross this distance within a duration of only 5 minutes instead of the 40 minutes. DeshGujarat
