Manuben Dhebar Sanatorium in Rajkot to function as 100-bed covid facility for now, 400-bed permanent hospital in long term: Rupani

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today took a decision to utilize Manuben Dhebar Sanatorium facility located next to PDU medical college in Rajkot as a temporary 100-bed covid hospital in view of possibility of third wave of covid pandemic. Rupani said American Indian Foundation will extend its cooperation to set up this 100-bed covid treatment facility.
A high power committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rupani today also took a decision to hand over 3,670 square meter land of Manuben Dhebar Sanatorium to the department of Health, Government of Gujarat in order to set up a 400-bed permanent hospital in long term, in order to add extra beds to existing PDPU hospital. Manuben Dhebar Sanatorium is at present lying unused in dilapidated condition. DeshGujarat
