Early survey begins for proposed Ahmedabad – Delhi bullet train route in North Gujarat

Himmatnagar: Early survey procedures for land acquisition for the proposed route of the Ahmedabad- Delhi bullet-train project has started in North Gujarat.
National High-Speed Railway Corporation (NHRCL) has a long term planning to start a bullet train service from Ahmedabad to Delhi via Himmatnagar taluka in Sabarkantha district in the next one decade. The 886 km long route will cover Ahmedabad- Himmatnagar- Udaipur- Jaipur- Delhi and it is going to be one of the five high-speed corridors of the country.
The proposed route passes from Majra to Piplodi via Anodia and Sadolia, Boriya Khurad, Jethipur, Kanknol, Hadiyol, Berna villages of Sabarkantha district in Gujarat.
Survey involving total 297 farmers including 109 farmers of Piplodi, 161 of Boriya Khurad and 27 of Berna has been started by agency. The survey is being done to assess the market value of the land, opinion of the farmers and land acquisition possibilities. DeshGujarat
