Saffron flag re-hoisted atop Dwarkadhish temple after lightening incident

Dwarka: A saffron Flag was hoisted again on the peak of Dwarkadhish Temple in its regular position on Sunday-18th July after repairing work was carried out for some damage to the flag pole due to the fall of lightning on Tuesday – 13th July.
On Tuesday, lightning strike had caused some damage to the saffron flag and the base of its pole. After this incident, the flag hoisting was done at half-mast on the temple. The repairing work was done by 15 workers on Saturday following a survey done by the Archaeology department and Dhwaja Samiti regarding the damage. A lightning arrester was installed after placing three copper rings on the peak of the temples o that it can capture the lighting strike. The saffron flag was hoisted again in its regular place.
