Merely 250 odd doctors on strike against projection of statewide strike by media: Nitin Patel

Gandhinagar: Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel today said that only 250 odd doctors are on strike in the State and the issue is not as big as media is projecting. Patel said out of 250, as many as 141 are from Ahmedabad. He said the strike has not impacted surgeries, operations and medical treatment. He said, once the strike is unconditionally withdrawn, the government will appoint a five-member committee to look into the issues raised by doctors. Patel who had a day ago clearly stated that unreasonable demands will not be accepted by government, today once again asked doctors to join the duty at taluka and district level where they have been appointed to serve the people. He mentioned that such doctors are going to get Rs. 80,000 per month salary. DeshGujarat
