Surat gets India’s first auction house by GJEPC

Surat : Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will have its first Auction House developed on the fourth floor of Titanium Square in Vesu area of city on August 16.
GJEPC has developed the Auction House at the cost of Rs 4 crores in 2200 square feet space. The rent of this auction house will be Rs 1 lakh per day. The first booking has been received for August 18.
The Auction House has 15 cabins including a conference room, an administrative room, Navratna Gallery, Safe Deposit vault and 11 cabins. The inauguration will be done at the hands of GJEPC Chairman Colin Shah.
GJEPC informed that selling, buying and auctions of rough polished diamonds, jewelleries and gemstones can be done at this auction house and any merchant from across the world will be allowed to book this auction house. The auction house can be also used for bidding by local traders. DeshGujarat
