Hindu temples across Gujarat mark Independence Day in different ways

Gandhinagar: Various major Hindu Temples across Gujarat marked 75th Independence Day with different ways of celebration.

Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji mandir at Salangpur in Botad district celebrated 75th Independence Day with the 1551 feet long national flag at the temple. The width of the flag was 10 feet. Many saints and devotees participated in this program. Swami Hari Prakash Dasji and Kothari Swami Vivek Sagar Dasji remained present on this occasion.

Shri Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan celebrated the Independence Day by decorating the Shiv-linga with tri-colour flowers and turban at Sayam Aarti in the evening. The flag-hoisting was also done in the morning in the presence of Somnath temple trust secretary P.K. Lahiri, General Manager Vijaysinh Chavda and the officials of the Security Department at the temple. The temple was decorated with colourful lights at night.

Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan in Maninagar, Ahmedabad marked 75th Independence day by creating a 75 feet by 75 feet tri-coloured map of India in the campus of the temple.
