Gujarat govt approves 19 new Police Stations, 8 new Out Posts

Gandhinagar: Minister of State for Home, Pradipsinh Jadeja today announced State government’s decision to start 19 new police stations in the State.
Sharing the details of the decision, he said that five districts of the State namely Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Rajkot and Bharuch will have 19 new police stations of Police Inspector/Police Sub Inspector level.
The new police stations will come up at Vesu, Saroli, Pal, Utran and Althan in Surat city and Anaval, Madhi, Zakhwadv in Surat disticts with 586 approved posts.
In addition to this, new police stations will also be created at Akota, Kapurai, Kumbharwada and Atladra in Vadodara city with 300 approved posts.
Umaragm in Valsad district will get a new police station with 71 approved posts.
In Rajkot rural, Jetpur, Udyognagar, Dhoraji will have taluka police stations while Gondal will have City ‘B’ division police station with 211approved posts.
Bharuch will get new police stations of Panoli and Jhagadia GIDC with 140 approved posts.
Tintoi outpost in Aravalli district will be upgraded to Police Inspector level police station with 71 approved posts.
Police stations of Valsad rural, Pardi and Dungra in Valsad district, Vijalpor in Navsari district, Palanpur and Amirgadh in Banaskantha district will be upgraded to Police Inspector level from present Police Sub Inspector level.
New outposts are to be started at Motvan and Andada in Bharuch district and Umra and Kosamba national highway in Surat district.
