Indroda Park Gandhinagar gets open moat for Lions, Tigers and Panthers

Gandhinagar: Forest Minister Ganpat Vasava today dedicated new more open accommodations for the animals by GEER foundation in Indroda Nature Park of Gandhinagar.
GEER foundation has developed ‘Open moat’ kind of accommodations for the lions, tigers and panthers using various natural resources such as plants, woods and stones. The accommodations are developed at a cost of Rs 2 crores. The inauguration of accommodation for two lions, two white tigers and six panthers was performed today.
The animal accommodations resemble the natural habitat of the animals rather than the cages. They have facilities such as gazebo, stone caves, waterbodies, ramp and stage. They also have special gallery and path for the visitors. DeshGujarat
