ACB Gujarat nabs Circle Police Inspector, Sub Inspector in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a Circle Police Inspector and Reader Police Sub Inspector in Rs. 50,000 bribe case.
According to ACB, Pratik M Amin, Reader, Police Sub Inspector working with Police Superintendent office at district headquarters Vyara in Tapi district and Pravinkumar Jivrajbhai Makwana, Circle Police Inspector working at same location are nabbed in bribe case.
Bribe was demanded for sending report/opinion to the Gujarat High Court in a case pertaining to a quashing petition filed by a woman, against whom crime was filed in Valod police station over land dispute.
Accused had demanded Rs. 1 lakh bribe, of which Rs. 50,000 was to be paid today while balance amount was to be paid next week as per an instruction given by accused Pratik Amin.
As complainant was not willing to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and both accused were held. DeshGujarat
