Traditional Guard of Honor Accorded to Ganesh by Mahesana Police

Mehsana: Female cops of Mahesana Police accorded Guard Of Honour to Bhagwan Ganesh at Siddhivinayak mandir near Fuvara circle in Mehsana amidst rain today on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The tradition of according the Guard Of Honour to Ganesh here is practiced since the era of Gaekwad rulers of native Baroda State. The Guard of Honour is given to Ganesha since 1921 by the police.
The special feature of the murti of Ganesha at this mandir is having a right sided trunk. This mandir established in 1917 is visited by number of devotees every year. DeshGujarat
