Gandhinagar: Gujarat achieved a record break mark of 23,68,006 vaccine doses administered in a single day on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.

The State government had announced a mega drive of vaccination on this day through various extra ordinary efforts such as free vaccination camps under flyovers, at city bus stations and close to localities of poor people.

Generally, at the most 5 to 6 lakh doses of Covid vaccines would be administered at the maximum on any day. With fresh boost the State has completed the mark of over 5.5 crore doses of vaccines against Covid-19. Even nationwide, record break 2.50 crore doses were administered on a single day in a big achievement in fight against Covid-19, the worst pandemic in a century long period. DeshGujarat
