25 per cent monthly, 125 per cent yearly rise of passengers at SVPI airport

Ahmedabad: Thanks to decreasing impact of Covid-19 all over the country and particularly in Gujarat, there has been a 25 % increase in the number of passengers in the month of August compared to July at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad.
There has been a 125 % rise in the number of domestic passengers in August 2021 compared to August 2020 at SVPI Airport.
The traffic of domestic passengers was 3,32,888 in July and 4,16,937 in August. In August 2020, the average traffic of passengers was 5962 per day which became 13,450 per day in August 2021.
