Gandhinagar: Contrary to certain news reports in vernacular dailies, the cooperation minister on the first day of two-day long monsoon session of State assembly on Monday informed in reply to a question of an MLA that no marketing yards have shut down during the last 2 years in the state. The question was raised by Borsad MLA Rajendrasinh Parmar. It’s worth noting that some news reports had surfaced that certain number of market yards in the State have shut permanently after central government’s farm reform acts.
