Veteran Gujarati Actor Ghanshyam Nayak Passes Away

Gandhinagar: Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, recently famous for his role as ‘Natukaka’ in popular TV serial Taarak Maheta Ka Oolta Chashmah passed away today after prolonged illness. He was 77. Born on 12 May 1944, Nayak appeared in a number of tele serials as well as films. He had also worked in conventional old Gujarati Rangabhoomi.

Ghanshyam Nayak acted in about 100 Gujarati and Hindi Films and around 350 Hindi Television serials. He has also acted in more than 100 Gujarati Stage Plays. He has given playback in more than 12 Gujarati films with maestros like Asha Bhosle and Mahendra Kapoor. He has dubbed more than 350 Gujarati films. He has given his voice for veteran legend actor Kanhaiyalal in Hindi movie Ek Aur Sangram and Bhojpuri film Bairi Sawan. Nayak was originally from Mahesana in North Gujarat. He was settled in Mumbai for last many years. He was suffering from cancer. DeshGujarat
