Danish Prime Minister visits Garvi Gujarat Bhawan in Delhi; Enjoys Garba, Hinchko and Gujarati handicraft items

New Delhi: Danish Prime Minister Ms. Mette Frederiksen was received at the Garvi Gujarat Bhavan today by Health Minister Mansukh Mandviya.

Experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the state, she appreciated Gujarat’s green initiatives and recalled Denmark ’s long association with Gujarat, said Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in a tweet.

Danish Prime Minister and her husband sat on ‘hinchko’ (traditional swing) of Gujarat and enjoy the moments.

Danish Prime Minister also visited a small shop a Garvi Gujarat Bhavan and explored the varieties of Gujarati handicraft including Kutchi shawls.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya who hails from Gujarat and elected to Rajya Sabha from the State also gifted her a Gujarati craft item.

She also watched Garba performance by Gujarati girls in a lawn of Garvi Gujarat Bhavan. It’s worth noting that Navratri festival famous for traditional Gujarati dance of Garba is underway.

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat was present at Garvi Gujarat Bhawan during the visit.

Danish Prime Minister told media persons when asked for her reaction: “The cultural heritage is fantastic. I am really amazed.”
