Tender issued for river cruise and floating restaurant at Sabarmati Riverfront

Ahmedabad: Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) has issued the tender for starting a river cruise and a floating restaurant at Sabarmati riverfront in the city. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled on 20th October and the bid will open on 11th November.

The cruise and floating restaurant are required to have a capacity of maximum 100 passengers with crew members. The ticket window will be beside the flower park. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for starting a floating restaurant at Sabarmati riverfront was made ten years ago at the time of Vibrant Summit. Two companies had submitted the proposals for starting the floating restaurant. However, the project remained pending due to the lack of water in the river.

As per the conditions of the tender issued by SRFDCL, the turnover of last three years of those offering for bid should be Rs 1 crore. They will be required to create the whole infrastructure along with the supporting system including JT by themselves. The operation and maintenance of cruise and floating-restaurant will be solely of the company to whom the work order will be allotted. The last date for filling the tender is 14th October.
