ACB Gujarat nabs Deputy Collector (Prant Officer) in Rs. 3 lakh bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed Deputy Collector (Prant Officer) of Devbhumi Dwarka district in a bribe-case of Rs 3,00,000. The accused is Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officer.
The complainant and his two friends had given a proposal for issuing weapon licence for crop conservation to the prant office of Devbhumi Dwarka. The accused Deputy Collector (Prant officer) Nihar Dudhabhai Bhetariya demanded a bribe of total Rs 3,00,000 considering Rs 1 lakh per person to approve the licences.
The complainant and his two friends contacted ACB as they were not willing to pay the bribe. The accused Deputy Collector (prant-officer) was found accepting a bribe of Rs 3,00,000 from them during a trap executed by ACB. The legal actions are being taken against the accused by ACB. DeshGujarat
