Ahmedabad airport bus service to resume

Ahmedabad: The BRTS bus service from SG Highway to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport will resume after 3 years.
The decision was made in a meeting between Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials and Airport Authority. The buses will arrive at a frequency of every 30 minutes from 6 am to 11 pm. The route of this Airport bus shuttle service will be Karnavati Club, ISKCON circle, Jodhpur Char Rasta, Shivranjani, Himmatlal park, IIM, Helmet char-rasta, Shastrinagar, Akhbarnagar, RTO, Shahibaug and Airport. Total 15 electric AC buses equipped with CCTV Surveillance and announcement will operate on this 19-km route. The ticket-window will be kept at the pickup point at the airport. The ticket-rate will be Rs 50 per passenger.
This service was started in the year 2017 but it was terminated considering the losses of around Rs 1 lakh per day. It will resume this year before the festival of Diwali. DeshGujarat
