Ahmedabad Airport AC Electric BRTS UDAAN Bus Service Connecting to City Areas from October 18

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will launch ISKCON – RTO – Airport BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) electric bus service from October 18. The bus service will be very useful for those arriving and departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The service will kick off at 5 pm on October 18 from domestic terminal of Ahmedabad airport.
The bus service will cover following bus stops – ISKCON cross road – Ramdevnagar – ISRO – Star Bazar – Jodhpur char rasta – Himmatlal Park – Andhjan Mandal – University – Memnagar – Valinath Chowk – Sola Cross Road – Jay Mangal – Shastrinagar – Pragatinagar – Akhbarnagar – Bhavsar hostel – Ranip cross road – RTO circle and Ahmdabad domestic airport.
According to AMC, BRTS UDAAN willl be a business class facility available for just Rs. 50. It will offer high-end AC buses, secured under CCTV camera, PIS (Passengers Information System). It’s operation time will be from 6 am to 11 pm with frequency of 15 to 30 minutes. Payment of ticket shall be through cash, Janmitra card and digital payment modes. A drop-off point shall be close to departure area and pick up point will be near arrival gate of domestic terminal of Ahmeadbad airport.
AMC had in the past too started such service but later discontinued it. The latest decision to resume this service in a new format has been taken after the meeting with airport officials. DeshGujarat
