ACB Gujarat nabs Revenue Talati, Circle Officer in two fresh bribe cases

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed a Revenue Talati working with the State government at Gondal in Rs. 1800 bribe case.

According to ACB, accused Manilbhai Shaileshbhai Chavda works as Revenue Talati in Gondal. He had demanded Rs. 1800 bribe for hakk patrak entry from a complainant.

As the complainant didn’t want to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which, a trap was arranged in which accused Chavda was nabbed receiving bribe at Taluka Seva Sadan, Revenue Branch in Gondal in Rajkot district.

In another trap executed today, ACB has nabbed a circle officer of Taluka Seva Sadan office of Sankheda taluka in Chhota Udepur district in Rs. 14,000 bribe case.

According to ACB, accused Rakesh Jethabhai Patidar had demanded Rs. 15,000 bribe for varsai entry initially but after bargain, the sum of bribe was settled at Rs. 14,000. As complainant didn’t want to pay bribe, he contacted ACB following which a trap was arranged and accused was held after receiving Rs. 14,000 bribe.
