Surat: Two persons were dead in the incident of fire at Viva packaging company’s plant in Surat. Fire broke out at around 4.30 am today. 48 persons were injured and taken to hospital. Of them three were seriously injured. Over 100 persons were rescued by Fire brigade staff of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) from a four-storey factory that had also two basements. Police booked two owners and a manager of company namely Janak and Shailesh Jogani and Dinesh Vaghasiya. Over 20 fire vehicles and 120 fire jawans were deployed to douse the fire that had originated in the basement.
