Milk Chilling Plant inaugurated at Alhadpura near Bodeli

Vadodara: Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a milk-processing plant built by Baroda Dairy at a cost of Rs 120 crores in milk-chilling plant at Alhadpura near Bodeli in Chhota Udepur district today on 20th October.

The milk-processing capacity will increase by 3 to 6 lakh litre per day by this milk processing plant. The packing capacity of milk will be 3 lakh and storage capacity will be 4 lakh litres. The milk production capacity of 11 lakh litre per day will arise in future due to the plant.

Baroda Dairy is to pay Rs 27 crores to the milk producers out of which Rs 18 crores is already paid and the remaining amount will be paid till March 2022. On this occasion, CM Bhupendra Patel had handed over a check of Rs 10 lakh to Dipikaben Patel, the wife of a deceased dairy employee Nitinbhai Patel under Mrityu Sahay Yojana of Baroda Dairy. Baroda Dairy Chairman Dinubhai Patel had said that Baroda dairy, which had started in 1957 with only 6 unions and 500 litre milk production today collects 6.50 lakh litre milk everyday along with 1200 milk unions.
