Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a jail assistant of Jamnagar district jail and along with another person in a bribe case of Rs 5000.

The accused jail assistant Ashwinbhai Manishankar Jani had demanded a bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant on a phone call for arranging the pan-masala in the jail for the complainant’s brother in the Jamnagar District Jail. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe.

During the trap executed by ACB on 20th October, the accused Jail assistant had claimed that he was outside and asked the complainant to pay the bribe to a person named Machhabhai Kamabhai Jadav on phone call. The accused person was found accepting the bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant on behalf of the accused jail assistant during the trap. ACB has detained the accused. DeshGujarat
