Grand Celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Divas to take place at Kevadiya on 31st October

Gandhinagar: The grand celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Divas will take place on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel at Statue of Unity in Kevadiya in Gujarat on 31st October.
The programs such as Ekta Parade, Band Platoon Performance, cycle rally by central armed forces, motorcycle rally by the police of four states, martial art demonstration, school band performance and cultural programs will take place as part of this celebration.
Total 6 platoons will join the Ekta Parade in Kevadiya. As symbols of all states and central police forces, 54 flag bearers BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF and Gujarat Police platoons will participate in this parade. Total 23 police officials and employees who have won medals in various international games will also join this parade. Total 76 members will participate in the joint band platoon of BSF, CRPF, and Gujarat Police.
The jawans of central armed forces from various states will reach Kevadiya by cycle rally under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Total four motorcycle rallies by police from four directions of the country have also started to reach the Statue of Unity. It includes Jammu Kashmir Police, Tamil Nadu Police, Tripura Police and Gujarat Police and they will travel a distance of respectively 2536 kms, 2085 kms, 3118 kms and 1170 kms.
The demonstration of Wushu Martial Art and the demonstration of Kholna and Jodna of ITBP Combat Vehicle will take place after Rashtriya Ekta Parade. An inter school competition of 36 teams from various schools of state was organised. The winning school band of this competition will also participate in Ekta Parade. The artists from Ganjam, Orissa will perform a cultural program on the theme of national unity.
