CR Patil expresses displeasure over just meetings and not enough actions against stray cow menace in Vadodara

Vadodara: President of Gujarat unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) CR Patil while speaking in a public function here openly expressed his displeasure over slow progress on tackling the issue of stray cows in Vadodara city.

Patil mentioned the name of mayor Keyur Rokadia who was present in the function and asked to stop conducting meetings on the issue of stray cows and take actions. Mayor Keyur Rokadia later speaking to media persons responded that both government and corporation were seriously working on the issue of beggars and stray cattle.

State BJP President CR Patil while addressing at a function said that Vadodara Mayor Keyur Rokadiya had said that they have conducted meetings with everyone but he should now stop the meetings.

Patil said he felt while making him a mayor that he would work speedily as he is young but such slow progress is not going to work. He said that the results should be such that he should receive a call from someone from Vadodara that the stray cows and mosquitoes are not visible anymore. The Mayor should show results and stop doing meetings, Patil said.

In response, Mayor Keyur Rokadiya in reply to media questions, stated that over 600 stray cows were captured and around 500 cows were sent to the animal shelters. The solution of this issue will be brought as soon as possible, he said. He said the approach of CR Patil has always been towards work and government and corporations are seriously working on the issues of beggars and stray cows. He said that they have clearly told the cattle keepers that the corporation will take speedy actions if stray cows are found. DeshGujarat
