Amul Dairy seeks 100 acre land in Rajkot Taluka for setting up a mega milk plant

Rajkot: Amul dairy has made a proposal to the administration to allot 100-acre land in Gadhka village in Rajkot taluka at ready reckoner rate to establish a mega-plant of 50 lakh litre daily capacity at a cost of Rs 200 crores.
The administration has started the process to decide the ready reckoner rates for the land. The administration had earlier allotted the land to a society at the rate of Rs 1100 per meter near Gadhka. After deciding the ready reckoner rates, the administration will hand-over a proposal to the state government.
The milk unions of Saurashtra Kutch region collect 30 lakh litre milk per day out of which 15 lakh litre milk is used for making various dairy products and remaining milk is sent to dairies including Gandhinagar. DeshGujarat
