Gandhinagar: The shubh muhurats for the marriages will begin from 16th November after the end of the Hindu Chaturmas on 14th November.
The tulsi vivah is celebrated after the Prabodhini Ekadashi or Devuthi Ekadashi. This year, the prabodhini Ekadashi is believed to be on 14th November in some sects and on 15th November in other sects.
There are 14 shubh muhurats for marriages within one month from 16th November to 14th December. They are on the days 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 28th, 29th and 30th in November and on 1st, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 14th in December.
The duration of four months between Devpodhi Ekadashi and Devuthi Ekadashi is considered as Hindu Chaturmas and the marriages are not scheduled during this period. The shubh muhurats for marriages restart after the celebration of tulsi vivah after devuthi Ekadashi. DeshGujarat
