Covid vaccine certificate must for certain AMC facilities from November 12

Sabarmati: The covid-19 vaccination certificate will be required for the entry at Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run AMTS, BRTS, Kankaria lakefront, Kankaria zoo, Sabarmati riverfront, library, gymkhana, swimming pool, AMC sports-complex, City civic centre, and all the buildings of AMC from 12th November onwards.

AMC has stated in a press-note the people above 18 years of age who have not taken the first dose of vaccine and those who have not taken the second dose despite being eligible will not be allowed entries at the above mentioned place from 12th November onwards. AMC has stated that there are over 9 lakh people in the city who have not taken the second dose of covid-19 vaccine despite being eligible for it.

Total 73,84,693 doses of covid-19 vaccine are administered to the public of Ahmedabad city so far out of which 46,91,647 were the first doses and 26,93,046 were second doses.

BRTS

The final certificate of covid-19 vaccination will be required for traveling via BRTS buses in Ahmedabad city. The passengers who are not fully vaccinated and those without covid-19 vaccination certificate will not be allowed entry in the buses from 12th November onwards.

The passengers have to show the vaccination certificate when purchasing the tickets. A sticker instructing the passengers about the same will be applied at ticketing counters. The ticketing staff and security staff will have to check the vaccination certificates in hard copy or soft copy at the bus stop at the time of issuing tickets. The staff of total 390 persons including 40 ex service men, 170 security guards, ticketing staff of 180 will jointly conduct the work of certificate checking at all 163 bus stops.
