Prominent Mandirs witness huge revenue from donations during Diwali festival

Gandhinagar: Ambaji Mata mandir received donations of around Rs 67 lakhs, Umiya dham in Unjha received around Rs 1 crores and Vadtal Swaminarayan mandir received around Rs 95 lakhs from the devotees in Diwali festivals.

Over 2.65 lakh devotees visited Ambaji Mata mandir during the festivals of Diwali. The revenue received from donations here is noted to be over 67 lakhs this year between 4th to 9th November, which was Rs 47 lakh last year. Total 2,61,900 prasad boxes were sold here. Similarly, Umiya dham in Unjha also received donations of over Rs 1 crores between the new-year day to labh pancham, as per the sources from mandir. Around 5 lakh devotees visited Chamunda mata mandir in Chotila within the 3 days of Diwali festivals.

An average number of above 50 thousand devotees visited Dakor each day during Diwali festivals and the mandir received a donation of around Rs 65 lakhs between Diwali to labh pancham. The Vadtal Swaminarayan mandir received a total donation of around Rs 95 lakh between Diwali to labh pancham this year which was Rs 31 lakh last year.
